Nature provides us with many striking metaphors for life, one of my favorites, is the metaphor of the seed.
Isn’t it incredible to think of the potential for growth, beauty, and fruit that is contained in each tiny seed. The metaphors continues in the realization that the seed cannot manifest this growth on its own, it must also have three essential components: soil, water, and sunlight.
Similarly, we must also receive nourishment in order to grow. Sources of nourishment look different for each individual. Even so, I believe we are more alike than we are different. Personally, my faith, beliefs and community provide my necessary nourishment. Whatever these components are for you, it is my hope that our jewelry might be a physical reminder of the deeper truths that help to ground you.
When each of us has the courage to become who we were made to be, it is like a “seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32). Isn’t it a beautiful possibility, that we not only live whole and full, but that life extends to give life to others.
